Copyright and droit de suite

The association of Swiss auctioneers of art and cultural goods campaigns against the introduction of the droit de suite. The droit de suite stipulates for contemporary artists and above all their heirs to share in the proceeds (i.e. not only in the appreciation) from their works for up to 70 years.

The introduction of the droit de suite in Switzerland would worsen the basic parameters for the art market and thereby also for the contemporary artists.
